A Guide To Item Upgrade From Start To Finish

Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrading gear increases its base stats and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.

For instance, the premium shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll an acquired item like a weapon, armor or rings. This swaps the current item for one of the same type with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted will not be refunded.

Survivors may acquire reroll tokens through several means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be located in crates and chests, or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of an item such as increasing its damage.

Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.

There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To produce them, you'll need an upgrade level token for rerolling. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The reroll marker, unlike other special tokens or markers placed on action areas, remains on the space till the next success is to be rerolled. This allows you to save upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the beginning of every Preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. Once they are open they show a complete description and an icon for the appliance or ingredient that they correspond to. The restaurant's shop will swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

During the course of an event, blueprints may be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on chosen Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and also those that are in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the value of an item by improving its stats or attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. These stones are also available to players who complete daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate the appropriate item and then click on the "level up" button. This will show a list of the item's levels and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players need to select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. After the player has met the requirements, he is able to click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item, the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is risk-free and doesn't affect the longevity of the item. This makes the system an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to obtain the stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that allows you to increase the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be used up and the item will gain an upgrade to a higher level. The process will continue until the item reaches its highest level.

Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component also requires the purchase of a certain amount of items, as well as a minimum level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add items to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the gear will look like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow after a player has sufficient materials will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will be increased by a small amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.

Once an item reaches its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option to upgrade. Likewise, once  item upgrading  of gear reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to the track will be offered at a discount.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to offer an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be bought through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed by acquiring new ones. However, this will cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.

Requirements

Upgrades to items allow players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the item type, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

The upgrade items can be incorporated into equipment set pieces and weapons for extra effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an item, it can't be removed and substituted without restriction, however glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.

Upgrades can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers which can further increase the stats of an item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.

Some items benefit from being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but for the fact that it allows players to get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.

The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

Once you've met the required requirements for upgrading the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close you are to completing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any  item upgrade r  NPC.
